The Jam4Cans urban rail jam platform is constructed and set up by volunteers.
We believe in the Jam 4 Cans mission, as is evident by the thousands of hours and financial contributions that the team has made. However, as we are working to take our events to the next level, new opportunities are being created for others to join the movement.
The Rail Jam Setup Rebuild Continues
In order to make our event more sustainable for our team we are creating a permanent location for the shipping container. In the past we have had to move our infrastructure across the parking lot and elevate it about 4 feet. This was a labor intensive process, often adding a full day of setup time. To decrease labor we have decided on a more permanent location for the container and plan to fabricate a steel frame to elevate it to the correct height. We expect a cost of $3000 with this upgrade.
The Events
Our ability to draw riding talent depends on our ability to provide desirable cash/gear prizes. We continue to be dependent on donors and sponsors for these needs.
Volunteers
Jam 4 Cans is dependent on volunteers to be successful. We need people who are willing to donate time and skill with construction, graphic design, marketing, event support, etc.
